Namibia And Netherlands Promoted To World Cricket League Division 1
Namibia And Netherlands promoted to Division 1 of the ICC World Cricket League.
Netherlands showed their great performance both on Bowling and Batting against Uganda. With Fielding first , they restrict Uganda to 79 runs in 23.4 overs . And they chased the target in 6.3 overs which boosts their Net Run Rate above Nepal. While Namibia chased Canada's target of 224 in 40.3 overs loosing only 2 wickets which ensures their promotion.
While Nepal looses to Kenya by 5 wickets which leaves Nepal in Division 2. Being so near to promotion , Nepal has been left in Division 2 due to less NRR than Netherlands. Nepal started batting first against Kenya and gave the target of 194 runs to Kenya which Kenya chased them in 35 overs.
With the results , Namibia and Netherlands are promoted to Division 1 , Nepal and Kenya stayed in Division 2 and Canada and Uganda are relegated to Division 3.
Finals and playoffs are to be played on Saturday.
